About Us

We are a small home-based, family-owned and operated online thrift/consignment shop, in Newport News, Virginia. We do not resell items that we would not use ourselves or have in our own home.
All items are sold “AS IS”. Please see our return policy for more details.
Consignment Items
We accept consignments. We can store most small to medium sized items on premises. But prefer that you store large furniture or bulk items at your own location. If you keep the item(s) at your location, customers who request them, will pay us and be directed to your location for pick up. This way you retain your property until the last moment.
Your consigned items will be photographed and listed on our website at no cost to you. When a customer requests your item, we will send you an email and/or give you a phone call to assist you and the customer in setting up an appointment time for pick up.
Daisy Daydreams keeps only 20% of every consignment sale.
You will receive cash for your portion of the sale.
Items for consignment should be in good to excellent condition, free from major damage and must have all working parts. Items that come with toys or accessories should have all or most of their parts and these items should be free of all major marks. All items must be freshly and thoroughly cleaned.
Examples of items we specifically consign: Children’s furniture such as cribs, cradles, toddler beds, dressers, changing tables, strollers, car seats, swings, pack-n-play cribs, bouncers, walkers, exersaucers, play yards, portable outside play equipment, and some toys and stuffed animals. We also consign other furniture items such as dressers, desks, entertainment equipment, etc.
We do not consign clothing items unless they are considered a special item, such as a formal wear (prom dresses, performance wear, costume etc.)
If you’re ready to get the process started, please contact us to receive instructions.
Donating Items
Cleaning out your house? We can help! If you would like to donate items to our shop, please contact us to receive instructions on how and where to drop off items.
You will not be compensated for donated items, however, if requested, we will provide you with a receipt you can use when filing your yearly tax return.
Donated clothing do not have to come on hangers, though it is helpful. You can drop them off in bags or boxes. They must be freshly washed and free of lint and/or pet hair. We do not accept items that are stained, missing buttons or snaps, with holes or other detracting marks, or have obviously been washed too many times. Please fold them neatly to avoid wrinkling when putting them in your bag or box.
Other donations should be in good to excellent condition, free from major damage and should have all working parts and/or accessories. These items should be free of detracting marks, be freshly and thoroughly cleaned. Thank you!
